If you go on either 24th or 23rd and look down the alley you'll see them. There's vans in the alley. I've driven work trucks down that alley before, it's not the best but not worse than many other streets in that area.

Here's the view:

It does appear the width is sufficient for regular traffic despite the truck having two tires on the curb to park. There are some alleys in places like Wash West, where a regular sized car will be rubbing tires on either curb to get through. Clearly not the case here.

Lol my dad works in the ugly brown building you can see on the right side of that picture (he's worked there since ~1990). I'll have to show him this.

Yep, that's the view. And if you look past the van you'll see the SUV (maybe it's a van too) in the background that is driving down the alley and fits within the cartway.

Yeah, there's plenty of room not only on the road, but space on the sidewalks as well. If you want tight, try navigating this one: https://www.google.com/maps/@39.9321...7i13312!8i6656
Good luck not losing a rear-view mirror in the process.

Can you guess where this years Diner en Blanc Philadelphia (Aug. 18) will be, based on these 4 clues?

1. Site will accommodate record 5,000 diners plus tables and chairs.

2. This is the 5th anniversary of Diner en Blanc Philadelphia, and this year's event will have a connection to the originators, France, as did the first location, Logan Square on Philadelphia's Champs-Elysees.

3. Site has never been used before for Diner en Blanc Philadelphia.

4. No one (who speaks with the planning committee) has guessed the correct location YET.

Keep in mind: location must be in Philadelphia. Previous locations were Logan Square, JFK Blvd @ 30th street, South Broad, and Navy Yard. Think outside the box on this one, the location is quite clever. Be specific (for example, "out front of Memorial Hall" is a proper guess, not "Fairmount Park.") Remember NO ONE HAS GUESSED IT YET! (Most telling clue)

I guess when I say NEVER BEEN GUESSED that is to say unthinkable. That is to say all the obvious choices have been guessed. That is to say think outside the box.

33rd and Chestnut is going to be so much more active next year with the new college house and the Study hotel both opening at the same time. The dorm looks nice. The retail space will make or break the Study, because right now I'm not impressed with the look but I'll get over it if it meets the street well.
