Wow, this puts into perspective more than anything else we've seen how big of a difference these towers will make. I don't think Oxford will happen anytime soon, or even in this form, but Brookfield alone is huge.

Nice work on that Edmonton render. Just like Vancouver, breaking through the tabletop will do wonders for the skyline.

IMO...the west or east view will capture more of what is actually going on downtown.

Delta

Healy towers

Edmontonian.....Yeah right

COE tower should have a good presence from the east.

South view will really only be Stantec, but east/west or from the north will be a completely different skyline.

And the award for greatest transformation to a skyline from one building goes to.... Edmonton!

From the north, as mentioned, you will see essentially an entire new skyline.

A little out of date, ie. manu 2, encore, no ultimo, stantec and delta not really representative, but you get the idea of impact.

The looking West view from Capilano Bridge will be most impressive IMO. In effect, it will basically double the impact of our skyline and completely transform Edmonton's image. Delta, Stantec, COE, KR should all be fairly prominent from that vantage point as well as the Healy Ford towers, Jasper House and Ultima + Encore.

If 102st would go ahead, that would be a great impact from Southern vantage points.

A reminder of 102st Centre's impact without anything else.

Is Imperial Oil still planning to build a 200+m office building in Calgary or was that shelved?
Are there any other possibilities besides Oxford for a 200+m building?

Wont Ramsey make an impact from the south as well?

Imperial decided to go with a campus-style office in the brownfield Quarry Park development.

The Oxford development rendered above is on the IOL site.

Imperial sold the lot downtown that Oxford is now proposed on.
Imperial is moving to a corporate campus about 12 kms south of downtown . For that reason I avoid buying gas at Esso now

Still lots of possibilities for +200m towers downtown though. I'm confident many will happen, just not until the next cycle (3-5 years ).

EDIT: Beaten to it by M&Y.
