They should tack on another 100-200' and make this the new tallest in the city.

The inside is completely cleaned out.

Giant wood fence along a line of "I am moving trees"

Although it'll be a little sad to see these buildings go, we will gain so much
more street interaction and vibrancy with the PAC and tower.

This access back alley cutting through the middle of a huge block, will become a vibrant, bustling pedestrian commercial thoroughfare. This street
redevelopment will extend to the south, from the recently completed Regent Street portion of the spectacular new City Creek Center. At the southern
end, this new portion of Regent Street will be connecting The City Creek Center to the new Gallivan Plaza, which is another large public gathering square.

Main Street portion of the upcoming new tower and theater as it appears today.

We all wish they would break the proverbial glass ceiling in Salt Lake. Right now the main focus for this booming Metropolis is Streetscape, Urban Vibrancy and Mass Transit, which of course no one is going to complain about. The big positive is that Salt Lake City is easily becoming one of the prettiest CBDs on the No. American Continent. Hopefully, the upcoming towers over these next ten years will gradually increase in height as the available space becomes scarcer.

I would estimate they will be going vertical about the same time that the Performing Arts Center will be going vertical.

I'm not sure what's going on there Shakman. Everybody is asking, but no one seems to know if they're still fooling around with different ideas, or how accurate the renderings really are. When Hamilton built the 222 tower, the renderings were very mediocre and left everyone worried as to what the finish of the façade was really going to look like. The final product was a huge improvement over the rendering. It would seem that no one on the forum has actually asked Hamilton what their final plan for the curtain wall is...

Hmm... I'm beginning to think that Hamilton, and many of the powers that be decided that the Tower's curtain wall design was clashing too much with the connected new Performing Arts Center, which is being built in conjunction with the Tower. However, I haven't bothered to ask them either. I think everyone just assumes the design is in a state of flux still. Demolition of the existing sites is beginning soon, if not already.

I like this so much better then the previous design, which looked cheesy and didn't fit in with the Theater design in my opinion.

Awesome pics man. Thanks for keeping up with the progress! It's been a while since I have been to SLC, these pics bring me back. Question:Is that "Eat--Burger". being demolished as well? The cracks you show look pretty bad, and I assumed it was due to the demolition. Just curious if it is intentional. Thanks man!
