A Philadelphia Night Panorama

I wanted to share this particular shot. I'm hosting it on my PBase but it's not my photo. It is, however, certainly the best night panorama of Philadelphia that I've ever come across.

It does a good job of showing off Philadelphia's lateral skyline.

This is one of the few Philly skyline shots that really show just how expansive our skyline really is...

This is one of the few large scale photos that doesn't show Center City from one of those flat, overdone angles I can't stand. Every shot you ever see if from The Parkway or Penn's Landing or 30th Street - and one usually just sees the trophy towers. There is depth and much length to Philadelphia's skyline. I'd argue that the same applies to a lot of cities - there's a lot more to their signatures than most photos convey.

VZ i agree with everything you said, but for some reason I think the depth and length of the Philadelphia skyline really does not get displayed enough compared to most other skylines. For example, Atlanta's skyline is always displayed prominently showing off all 3 mini-skylines (downtown, midtown & buckhead) in one panorama. And NYC & Chi are synoymous with skyline panoramas. The pic above is one of those rare shots I've seen of the entire Philadelphia skyline... Just my 2 cents!
