If anyone is interested in seeing just how big the mine is, take a drive down Yellowhead and turn south onto Hwy 31 towards Tomahawk (about a 45 min drive from city limits) and prepare to be mind blown. Or google map it.

We have the family cabin at Betula Beach, just down the road from South Seba. While most other large lakes in the province are drying up and being ruined by irresponsible agriculture, Wabamun is thriving. Having a coal mine within the watershed and having them responsible for pumping and treating the equivalent run off into the lake from the NS is a huge benefit.

Is that taken right from highway 759? It's a real treat to once in a while get that close to the action from the highway.

Thanks, yeah pretty much right from the highway though we climbed down an embankment and hopped a fence.
