Yellow brick is fairly unique to London. Certainly they can be found in other cities but not to nearly the same extent. I would say there are as many if not more old yellow brick houses in London than there are red.

9331 points. 2 we’re completely off, got two that were in Michigan with about 2,500 points and one in New Jersey outside of NYC with about 4,500 points. That one was fairly easily seen as an NYC metro area one due to the built form and a sign for a collision place next door having a (201) area code phone number on it lol

I figured that one out as I could see New Jersey and New York plates on the cars. Doing this challenge really shows you how banal our big box crud looks.

The Miltonization of our built environment.

This is a development on Rideau street completed around 2015 (pic from late construction phase).

A second set of towers is being built next door where the brick building is being demolished (which was a long standing department store, Dworkin Furs), with the same massing, so people on the interior will never see light again. A complete failure in urban planning. A third set could be built next to that eventually.

Recent pic of the new towers going up.

And here's a 2020 streetview, with the new towers going up and semis going by along the city's primary truck route on downtown streets.

Not ugly but a rather awkward design on this house in Niagara Falls. Also interesting that it's just a regular neighbourhood with modest houses and this is the only newer build there, and they decided to go with something unconventional.

My first thought was in Captain Highliner's voice: "It's an awful long way to sea, Billy."
