lafayette park... my home, until my lease expires at the end of this month. where to from there? i'm not sure. i've put "> elmwood park" in my user info, as i'm interested in parkview square, but since i'm going to school and working right in the heart of dearborn, within a mile of eachother, it seems smarter to find a place right there.
Eastern Market seen over the top of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Service Center. (does anyone know the name of the church right of center? I know Holy Trinity on the left)
of course it isn't real... and it probably looks quite stupid, but it was kind of fun to take a stab at. I suppose I should've gone the extra step and accentuated the windows somehow - all I did was select the area, and then use the lighting tool in photoshop to create an imaginary beam. (coming from the bottom corners)
Yeah, with the downtown being laid out like it is, this is probably one of the few views were you can get a good spread of the skyscrapers from within. I kind of like it better than the typical Broderick Tower view pan to the south which really squishes the skyline together. The only other good view I can think of if the one you get from the top of the Book Tower looking down into C-Mart.

Looking south from Park Shelton over WSU, past the Woodbridge Senior Village to the Ambassador Bridge, with the ghostly shell of the Michigan Central Station looming to the right.
This picture is so cool. I don't know how anyone can hate the way the Ren Cen looks. Sure it doesn't meld perfectly with the rest of the skyline, but it doesn't need to!
It's a stark and unapologetic welcome to Detroit, and represents, perfectly, the toughness of post-riot Detroit. Like the city, it is what it is. I really like how the industrial look of Ford Field, on the left, complements the whole scene.
