Buckhead Development

Buckhead Village is becoming one of the most dense and walkable areas of the city. Obviously it also booming with development

Development Map

Hanover Buckhead Village - I like the look of this tower

Hanover West Paces - nicely urban midrise with a view of a parking deck

Anybody know if Camden Paces phase II is under construction along East Andrews? I forgot to take note while in the neighborhood.

Smartalone, thanks for starting this thread. I think we'll be able to capture a lot of projects in the near future. Will be interesting to see how this area transforms over the next few years. With the Henri's and Buckhead BBQ redevelopments in the works, the areas around the bars are going to feel a lot different.

Also, huge thumbs down to that ginormous parking deck along the street! Wow!

I don't spend a lot of time in this part of town, but it has been fascinating to watch this cycle. It really has come so far in so little time, and yet there's still a lot of potential. So many strip malls and suburban-style banks...

When I went by, there was no activity or construction equipment on the site.

The Charles is not wasting any time. I didn't notice those columns coming out of the ground a couple of weeks ago.

Cross posting from the main thread of what I saw while driving around tonight:

The Sutton (the project south of the Pharrell road project) and The Charles have their first floor pillars above ground, Camden Paces phase II appears cleared, and Henri’s Bakery redevelopment is two floors below ground, retaining walls up, and the crane appears partially erected. This neighborhood is absolutely on fire. Will be crazy if that bbq parcel begins construction as well.

And to think the Sutton is going in just south of this.

Now if only someone would tear down the abandoned "Cheesecake Factory" and "I-HOP buildings. It's amazing to me how long those properties have been in their current state.

This is really generic and cheap looking. Very inappropriate for the area.

The facade probably has a bunch of touch ups to occur:

But I agree it’s rather mundane. And don’t get me started on the parking deck 😉

This building looks like it should be a GSU Dorm.

Global equity giant in talks to buy Oliver McMillan

This could impact the future phases that Oliver McMillan planned for the area.

Totally agree. Hands down the best adaptive-reuse that I have ever seen.

Is the base black portion a wrapped parking deck? If so, I had not even realized when looking at it. Really well done project.

Yep it is wrapped parking. This proves parking garages don't need to be an albatross.
