Went by there this weekend, they have just one digger out there and they seem to be just moving dirt around. I will be satisfied construction has re-started when I see a crane or two and cement mixers on site.

I just walked by Legacy Arena, and renovations have started, the island is gone and a large part of the front of the building is gone. I took pictures but not sure if they came out well enough to post here and plus I don't know how.

Shipt Tower is now officially Shipt Tower. The logo was placed on the building this weekend.

FINALLY! Protective Stadium's design renderings have been released! IMO, it looks lovely. It's like a stadium in a park with plenty of room to permenantly expand the stadium if it is ever warranted.

The business that the stadium will bring, along with the extensive landscaping, will definitely drive up demand for service and hospitality related business in the area. Maybe it will hasten the redaptive-reuse of the former Carraway Hospital.

All images below were provided by AL.com: LINK

The construction company found a way to add 1200 more seats in the north end zone without adding to the cost of the stadium.

Sigh... I haven't seen construction at 20 Midtown in weeks. Everything else seems to be chugging along merryly, though.

random updates from 8/1:

Battery II

not much happening on the outside yet, except for window replacement.

Lakeview Green

was able to get some better pics of that steel structure on 29th. will this be retail?

Avenue A Townhomes

glad to see the second (of four) buildings under construction. these make quite an impact from the 24th street bridge.

Dewberry Building

not sure what this steel structure is on the 5th avenue side, but man this facade looks sooo much better than the 4th ave side..

Protective Stadium

managed to get some shots from all around the site. you can see the steel structure going up for the suites on the west side.

Same here. Last time there was work going on at that site, it was like a contractor farted and left.

The Southside and Lakeview are pretty covered up with work right now. Utility work seems to be going on everywhere.

this project has been in the works for a while. you may recall a couple of houses burned down on this very corner a few weeks back.

New $16.5M luxury multifamily apartment complex coming to Avondale

lots of existing apartments that have been renovated over the past 5 years in the avondale area, but these are the first new ones i can think of.

this site is right next to the failed box row development... it's strange that site hasn't been picked up by someone else yet.

The Dagny:

(appears to be complete, or close to it)

Bakers Row II

(finally seeing some progress)

Printers Corner

(this used to be that gutted building in Parkside with the "YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL" graffiti)

Protective Stadium

(i believe this will be the tallest part... looks to be slightly shorter than the westin next door)

The church I think its call St. Mary's on the Highlands located at 19th Street and 12th Avenue South has a nice sized expansion project going. They've taken over a city alley way to expand to the next lot behind the Terrace Court Apartments.
