Yeah, but then they would have found another place for it.

Btw, I'm not knocking the height on 5th and West. I've been looking forward to this one topping out since it was announced and we got to see the rendering. I don't think all buildings would improve if they were taller, but at 50 stories, this thing would soar.

I was just thinking how I'd be good with 4 or 5 more floors. That would get it close to the crane. Plus, 44 floors just sounds taller than 39 floors psychologically even though it's not a huge difference.

I wonder if the sales office is mentioning the views that would be blocked when the 28 story building is built on Irene's/Frank & Angies lot. Just saying...

I keep getting ads for this one advertising 1-3 bedrooms at 600k- over 3 million. Guess it's not sold out.

Alright so I don't wanna be hyperbolic about a certain project or anything like that but I spent some time in this area today and the scale of change over there feels IMMENSE.

And to me the project that puts it over the top and makes the level of change feel truly transformative is... you guessed it... this one. Sure, it may seem like just the icing on the Independent/Proper cake but this one really stands out and makes a difference in the skyline, from just about every angle.

I dig it.

That living/dining space is pretty tight between the Master bathroom wall & the exterior glass dining wall. Barely enough walk around room, IMO.

But the layout is pretty good overall and the master/LR/DR/kitchen part is vaguely similar to the Independent's C-3 plan.

Wonder what the HOA monthly vig is?

The listed MLS unit calculates out to about $0.56 per sq ft per mo. Putting it a tad higher than the 360 and Independent ($0.52) but lower than the Austin Proper ($0.66), the W ($0.82), and Austonian ($0.85)
