This was I believe the second revision of the JW Marriott. I couldn't fine any pictures of the original design, but it was the most boring beige stucco building you can imagine.

There's not going to be a significant change following the inactive status. If there was a big change coming they would have to withdraw the site plan and resubmit another one.

We should have a forum meet up at Sullivan's while it's still around. I would hope they return to that location but it's unlikely.

Sullivan's owners are part of the project, and the plan has always been for them to be the restaurant in the new building.

I don't think that's necessarily the case if the changes are just cosmetic (ie no major changes to the plans themselves)

To be fair, the podium portion of this old rendering doesn't look half bad honestly. I mean think about it compared to what's *actually* being built at the fairmont. Or what actually got built at the JW. It's just terrible matched up with the squatty stucco tower...

Nice update. Year end 2017 has always been the original planned closing date for Sullivan's IIRC. So this one is still on schedule.

This one’s got a lot more height to it than I remember. If all stays as estimated, it’s got +60ft on Fifth and West. That’s pretty imposing by Austin standards.
