It really was a success. I didn't want to be interviewed, but let me clarify, Signal / Jeddy didn't JUST get interviewed by CBC. They were hit by VOCM, CBC, The Telegram AND NTV. All three of us stood up and spoke in favor, as Signal said, which sort of turned the tide from an anti-development meeting to a pro-development meeting. Without us there would have been 2 For and 4 against. Instead they got 5 for and 4 against. Now imagine if 5 of us had gone. 7 of us. All of us.
It will be interesting to see what headlines are tomorrow. Based on how fast the guys got pulled aside for interviews, I'm willing to bet it won't be the regular "residents against new development" headline.
In closing, I want to say that the Beta run of the Steel-Toe Boot Brigade was an overwhelming success, and I really hope more make it out to the next proposal. There is no doubt in my mind we can make a world of difference.
