block 1 construction starting to peek up in the view down the creek, but still not too much to see yet

here's the north side of block 7

a glimpse into the 'mews' between Family House and the rest of block 7. from David Baker's renderings I had gotten the impression of something wider (and it will be, somewhat, when the fence is down) and more pleasant, but of course he doesn't have control over what happens on the other side. looks like there are at least plantings that will make the wall on the left pretty green at some point.

not sure how recent this is, since I don't get over there that much, but sidewalks that were new to me have gone in along Terry Francois where it meets re-aligned Mission Rock Street.

this is the east side of Terry Francois. these are the little things that subtly change the feel of the area into something more neighborhood-y

here's a look at the north end of the Exchange site along 16th, with 1010 Potrero visible in the background

will be so nice to have those parcels filled in.

here are the Rutter views from yesterday, quite a clear day

it looks like drilling test piles on block 6? this would presumably be for this

rendering

the south side of block 7, Nomad Gardens in the foreground

the Long Bridge side of Arden, just about done:

since these views are now pretty much free of construction activity and settled into what will be their final form...

looking up the other way on Long Bridge, toward Fourth, at mostly Azure:

closer to Fourth

the corner at Fourth, with folks enjoying the Reveille sidewalk

and a look back the other way again, west up Long Bridge

the mid-block passage from Long Bridge to Channel

block 1 construction, corner of Fourth and Channel

Eviva on Berry St

neighbor to MB proper, the project on Third between 18th and 19th St has a foundation...

UCSF continuing to move into Dogpatch, and the neighbors aren't happy about it. Owners of the Cal-Steam facility on Mariposa approached UCSF, and the university has bought the property without any firm plans for it. Cal-Steam can stay for the duration of its lease, which ends in December 2018.

parks

the two greenspace parcels that have actually been complete for a year or so - the playground on Long Bridge and Mariposa Park - are slated to open at the *end* of the summer, according to socketsite. apparently the adjacent roads weren't deemed ready for prime time, which has caused the delay.

some new activity on the north side of Channel, opposite Arden. this stretch of Channel itself is still closed off. looking east:

another angle:

looking west:

block 1 construction:

the southern end of the Exchange site:

the northern end along 16th:

higher angle, Potrero1010 in the background

doing something with the dirt piled in the future Commons. might be related to what they're doing along Channel

if you mean the large empty spaces in the Rutter views, that's mostly UCSF.

<-- not too inspiring of a design, but the views are gonna be great.

speaking of block 1, it is starting to transform this view from Mission Creek Park:

another look at the work north of Channel where the Park extension will be. some sort of plastic pipe infrastructure:

something more robust getting installed in the future Commons near the roundabout:

the southern end of the Exchange site:

concrete pour there on Saturday, and looks like tower crane soon

northern end along 16th

indeed tower cranes are up at the Exchange site:

the children's park is finally open. here some evening views. so nice not to have fences there any longer, and to see people enjoying it (not noticeable in the pics).

work going on underneath what will be the western end of Mission Bay Blvd South, looking toward the roundabout

work has started on at least parcel P23 at the far SE corner of Mission Bay, across 16th St from the future Chase Arena site. not sure about its neighbor, P24 to the south

block 1

yes, P24 also underway

they've poured a bunch of concrete at P23 since the earlier pics:

<-- aha, excellent.

in other news, socketsite blurbed on block 6E today. official groundbreaking next month, although prep work had been going on for a while before recently pausing.
