So the Rolls is turning left on Wilshire into the parking lot of a cocktail lounge which is now the Los Angeles Dental Clinic. Cool. I wonder if any of the Burke's Law people knew Chastek -- the show was well known for its "in" casting of Gene Barry's buddies.

I use Photobucket, but I assume the same would go for Flickr. You need to type [IMG] the direct url of the image [/IMG] but without any spaces between the link and the brackets. And you need to do the same for each image you want to post.

It's been a while since we've discussed the various Brunswig buildings near the Plaza--Prudent Beaudry's old 'hood. (Speaking of Beaudry, where are you keeping yourself these days?) What I don't remember is that when Spring Street was cut through from the south, one of the larger Brunswig structures, now demolished, was moved as per the article above.

Some time ago we had a nice run of posts featuring pictographic maps of Los Angeles. I don't recall this 1942 map by Jo Mora having been included. (But I could be wrong!)

(I have no connection to the library or the Jo Mora Trust...just thought some of you might be interested in the temporary availability of this map!)

The site is now occupied by the recreation facility called Gilbert Lindsay Park which was originally the parking lot. The park has a ballfield in the northwest corner of the property. The original site of the Wrigley diamond and grandstand is occupied by the Kedren Community Mental Health Center and parking lot.
