Is it they don't look like they came from the same design aesthetic and b/c you know both towers belong to Comcast they feel like two unrelated pieces? Or do you not like how their peaks align on the skyline?

Calm down there with the melodrama. Check your personal trials at the door.

I can't really comment much on Comcast Tech's appearance because its not finished yet; let's see how the night scheme is because I think it will really look nice.

A lot can be said about the design of the building from an artistic view but it depends on one's personal preference and even that can change over years. Some people who didn't like City Hall when it was built eventually lobbied to save it so I won't worry much about the design.

I thought the lantern would have looked better in the middle because that is the traditional approach but this building is nice the way it is and when its complete it should be fine especially at night.

I'm looking and hoping to see more skyscrapers like this here. Bring Schuylkill Yards to fruition! Bring Comcast 3.

Exactly! That's all we have. My opinion is different than someone else, big deal. Lantern in the middle would have been cool - though the west side of the building is the angle I like most (because of the lantern). I also really like the Batman approach JWOLFE posted, though it does look like double middle fingers lol. But the building does look better than the renderings, so I'm glad for that, and the view from the El in West Philly is killer.

Looks like cooling tower cladding is finished on south side. Anxiously awaiting lantern cladding and then the lighting scheme!

even though i like this building i have also been a critic of it for some time. yes, it’s topped off. but the building isn’t even finished! reserve final judgement for the final product. the cooling tower/lantern cladding will add to it in many ways as well as the rest of the finishing touches which clearly aren’t done yet

Progress looks promising for sure.
I like the fact that both Comcast towers look completely different, unlike the boring Commerce Square (twin towers).

The lighting scheme is going to have a huge impact on the skyline.
This is my fav tower under construction so far.

How tall is it to the top of the cooling tower? I know the lantern makes it 1121' tall, but is the cooling tower itself taller than the first Comcast Center?

It's 995'-6" to the top of the cooling tower, and 911'-6" to the top of the roof of the last occupiable floor (page 35):

Thanks, again, Late1!

Yeah, the cooling tower is 21 feet, 6 inches taller than the top of Comcast Center.

Webcam STILL down. Must've been one of Matt Lauer's jobs.

This is mixed use on a massive scale. It’s a modern factory that manufactures innovation and it looks like it with a sleek up-scale hotel plopped on top. I think the lateen is meant to take attention away from CC as that is corporate this building will be where the magic happens. Drawing in young minds from the North and West. You’ll be able to see the spire. People don’t like it because it’s not a sexy woman with curves. It’s a sharp behemoth and really the inside is what it should be ultimately judged on because I think that will be its unique feature

Back in the days, I remember the tension between Roker and Lauer. You could cut it with a knife. The body language and other expressions were evident even on the tv screen. But I do love the Rockerfeller Center and all of its buildings.
