We'll have to start getting used to this tower dominate the area surrounding it now...

I visited One Morningside yesterday on 110th Street and 432 Park's core was clearly visible poking above its surroundings (viewed from the roof). Beginning to make a real impact!

The interior photos of the condos on the previous page are "dreamy". The windows make this a wonderful place to live! Those views alone... to die for!

It will be money well spent for those who can afford it.

Beautiful pic. And the stadium is gorgeous. Too bad the NY Giants were unable to reach the final this year. It would have been good to play it at home.

And the parade that would ensue in the city if they won. I was in the city Saturday and it was chaotic the amount of people. Took NJ transit, 7:15 am train out of Somerville,NJ , and it was as busy as it would be on a weekday. Very busy for a Saturday morning. I expect Penn Station NY and Newark must be overcrowded today. Visitors to the stadium, and the city to Times Square. This is like a 2nd New Years Eve party for us in the tri-state area.

lncredible to think that this will be almost as tall as Willis when complete.

My gosh those shots on 57th are ridonculously amazing!!! It's a giant already!!! And the width (or lack there of) of the tower is making it look even taller!

..And only 18' wider than just one of its 9 "tubes." How she will stand is beyond me.

The Sears Tower is made up of 9 square "tubes", each 75 feet wide. When looking at Sears from the west, the tallest visible "tube" gives you a rough idea as to the ratio of 432 Park, which is nearly the same height as the Sears tower, and only 18 feet wider. My point is that 432 is just mind-blowingly tall and thin.

That is a great picture. It is sometimes hard to explain to people how Sears Tapers. Also 432 will stay up due to the engineering miracle that is concrete. I can't wait for 111 West 57th Street. Near enough as makes to difference in height to 432 but an even smaller footprint and a more interesting design. That one will really be a marvel.

The architect probably played with rubic's cube*, and that's how he thought of the design for the Sears Tower.(j/k) The Burj Khalifa in Dubai is mainly concrete as far as the structure. It hasn't fallen down yet. It is amazing isn't it? I love the height & width of the windows in 432. Incredible!

*side note- Was rubic's cube invented before Sears Tower?

There's more to finance than to new engineering breakthroughs responsible for these slender towers.
