Are still of your database entries lost?

It is possible that some of your postings went lost at database migration last year and you did not spot it by now! I detected again an object that I posted and illustrated is not any more in the database!

I believe, I am not the only one who still find sometimes objects I posted and illustrated are not any more in the database!

So check, if you have in your drawing collection some objects, which you think are in the database, but are there in fact not any more!

Only 134 drawing have not yet been fixed (there were 1500 originally). Most are by Tresor and Yojo.

Alpha, I have no record of any of your drawings that were lost but still aren't restored. It is possible to know which drawing entries were lost and as far as I can tell all of yours have been restored.

No Alpha, you are not lonely here, many of mine are still lost, 07 not edited back yet...
From 411 (+1 people don't want to approve those days) 396 are listed. It means 15 to be edited finally yet. But at this link http://skyscraperpage.com/site/drawingrestore/ only 12 are listed. Result: 3 lost for ever seems... +1 the one i am sure would be not approved for reasons not known. So 4. Plus the many in delete quenue. Yes, this was a complain !

Mine, which I found are in the section "Building Requests and Corrections" marked with the expression "Readd again".

yeah, alpha, imo if you had been editor since long time, most of edition part (at least 80% of 3 pages remaining there are from you) would be already solved.... and the 'job' here would be easier to you and many relief for others ...

My lost drawings are already restored. But the entries I marked with "readd again" went totally lost. As I made nearly all my postings systematically, I notice sometimes gaps in the database, which I was sure, I filled.

I noticed, that as well entries with and without drawing went totally lost.

Oh I see, you are talking about building entries, not drawings. Yes there are many building entries which have not been restored, 3400 in fact. For all of them there is still an entry in the database, but the name and city data is missing, and because of this the entries have been set to not display.

But were not some entries totally destroyed?
I restored my lost drawings, but I made also drawings from the objects I flagged with "readd again" and these were not in the list?

There were no building entries that were totally destroyed. Only the name, city and other miscellaneous data were lost, but other elements of the database entries remain, such as the description field. However, for any building entries which were affected they no longer appear in the searchable database. But if you happen to know the URL of a building entry it can be viewed, such as - http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=83301

Most of the building entries which were affected didn't have a drawing associated with them and still remain to be restored to the public database.

for above one, very easy:
Name of Structure: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freilei...des_Sueskanals
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suez_Ca..._line_crossing
City: Sues or Suez http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sues http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suez
Country: Egypt
Status: Built
Structure type: Electric Pylons or Truss-Towers
Most of Miscellaneous are found at Wiki link easily.

PS: Alpha is Editor at Wiki, who does there very precise and nice for those structures types.

I know there was an entry for a Swedish church that disappeared; Fredrikskyrkan in Karlskrona. It was listed completely wrong with an antenna height of over 300 m, when in reality it only has a roof height of 37 m.

I was going to request a correction of that one when the database crashed. If memory serves, I joined the forums merely a week or so before the crash.

A church with over 300 metres antenna height sounds funny! Would be something for "Radio Vatican"!

Sometimes really crazy what can come out when computers make trouble!

Do all lost entries miss their country data?
Maybe I can help with Swedish and other Scandinavian lost entries if it's at least known they're located there.

Also; I don't have accesss to the drawing restore page. I guess only editors do?

Not only Editors have access, see that if works to you: http://skyscraperpage.com/site/drawingrestore/ you have to enter with your illustrator account.

Perhaps this would be a good time to do a backup / extra offline backup.
