Concord Sky | 300.5m | 85s | Concord Adex | a—A , KPF l u/c l NOTE: the SSP mods have moved this to the Super-talls u/c section (SSP uses CTBUH height criteria).

No idea why the rendering below was ever released (and is still the primary render in the UrbanToronto database). It looks nothing like the actual architectural docs (except the shape).

UT

A year ago the architectural docs showed unitized curtainwall on the west elevation of the the tower above the podium/heritage element right to the top . The east elevation has unitized curtainwall to the top of the crown, except for window-wall set back in the balcony sections.

The same docs have now appeared in the March 2024 submission for site plan approval. BTW the original design architects KPF when this was Cresford project, remain on the docs of this final version.

West elevation is on the right, east elevation on the left. Note the curtain-wall to the top of the crown.

Ushahid

Heritage at grade.

3D

Below is a section of the east elevation with curtainwall + balconies.

This older rendering from KPF was included in the March 2024 site plan approval submission and is a better characterization of what the tower should look like:

Great view of M1, M2 and M3 (u/c) from a UT forum member’s balcony. Downtown Missie looking more and more hefty… next to all those suburban McMansions ;-).

For 345 m One Yonge looks surprisingly underwhelming in the skyline renders. Think that will look different once actually built?

Amazing how The One manages to be (mainly) residential but is neither blue glass nor encrusted by balconies.

Does this help?

This my future render looking east over Humber Bay from Bloor-Yorkville of the left… south to the lake on the right (completed exactly one year ago today!!).

Here’s a lower rez close-up of the 345m SkyTower relative to the CN Tower.

If u wish, you can have a much better look and zoom in with this Link to a Large Rendering:

^Thanks for posting, Maldive. I noticed that, on the top half of the tower, the perspective is off. It's pointing slightly downward, whereas it should be slightly upward, not to mention that the top half is considerably shorter than in reality.

Epic drone shots from frequent flyer @hawc at UrbanToronto. @hawc has been steadily supplying fab drone shots of the Lower Don Lands transformation… and now has been flying over Southcore, the financial district and the Bayside waterfront.

In the centre is the now demolished LCBO lands, site of Menkes' 3 tower (up to 299 metres) Sugar Wharf Phase 2 mega-project. The 2 towers of Sugar Wharf Phase 1 are in the foreground on the left.

This one was shot from only a few metres higher than SkyTower’s final height!

Bonus pic from @hawc’s flight into the financial core of my favourite skyscraper on the continent… nearly 40 years young ;-).

Cheers Maldive. I tend to agree, Scotia Tower is absolutely one of the best towers built to date btw

Finally went through the agonizing Concord Sky architectural package from last month. The main entrance has a geodetic marker on the main floor plans. No guessing. No measuring. 300.3 metres final until Concord changes it.
