Oldest in Nashville is Varallo's, which opened in 1907 and to this day features the original offering of their special recipe chili served over either a tamale or spaghetti. Today though, their menu has expanded a bit. This, however, is not their original building unfortunately.

Oldest in Memphis is the Arcade Restaurant which opened in 1919 and serves classic diner fare and famous for being a place Elvis regularly dined on grilled peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

Oldest in Chattanooga is Zarzour's Cafe... a very humble little restaurant with simple menu of home cookin' that opened in 1918 and is in it's original location and building to this day.

Oldest in all of Tennessee is a place simply called City Cafe, which happens to be in the Nashville suburb (or perhaps satellite city is a more appropriate term) of Murfreesboro. It has been at this location and building in downtown Murfreesboro since 1900. Like many restaurants, it has found itself on the ropes during the pandemic, and came extremely close to shutting down, until the community came together to keep them open. Let's hope they can hang on.

For Greenville that would be The Original Clock Drive-In in continuous operation on the west side of town since 1953.

For Asheville that would be Little Pigs BBQ, in continuous operation beside the hospital downtown since 1962.

For what it's worth, in trying to look up this information, I discovered that the oldest restaurant in Columbia, SC is Villa Tronco, in continuous operation since 1940 and recognized as the first restaurant in South Carolina to ever serve pizza.

it's the same location since august 1837, but a new building was built in 1891.

it had first opened at 23 william street march, 1830, then shuffled around downtown a bit due to the great fire of 1835.

also, its not continuous -- this delmonicos site was closed between 1917-1926 until the tucci family took it over (le cirque, rainbow room, harrys). it has since changed hands a few times after they left ownership in 1981.

the original delmonico family had several other delmonicos around town and elsewhere too for awhile. it was kind of like the original rays pizza shops.

Montreal

L'Auberge Saint-Gabriel (since 1754)
Founded in 1754, the Auberge Saint-Gabriel in the heart of Old Montréal is the oldest inn in North America. If the walls could talk, L’Auberge Saint-Gabriel would recount remarkable tales of Québec’s history. Its menu reflects fine French and Québec cuisine that highlights market fresh and regional ingredients for its lunch and dinner service. – 426 Saint-Gabriel Street

Montréal Pool Room (since 1912)
Montréal Pool Room is a local favourite for classic hot dogs and fries. Located in the former seedy red light district of Montréal (now the Quartier des spectacles), this greasy spoon has survived a severe fire and relocation. Nothing will keep us from our beloved “steamies” served at this iconic diner. – 217 Saint-Laurent Boulevard

Schwartz’s Delicatessen (since 1928)
Schwartz’s smoked meat is world-renowned and is celebrated by locals and visitors alike. No meal is complete without a black cherry cola and a plate of half-sour pickles. – 3895 Saint-Laurent Boulevard

Wilensky’s Light Lunch (since 1932)
This lunch counter is better known as just “Wilensky’s” and is located in the Mile End neighbourhood. It is famous for its “Wilensky’s Special”, a pressed sandwich of grilled beef salami and beef bologna in a Kaiser roll with mustard. Don’t ask for substitutions: they’ve been serving it the same way for over 80 years without compromise. – 34 Fairmount Avenue West

Orange Julep (since 1932)
The restaurant opened in 1932, but it was in 1945 that the iconic giant orange was built. With vintage car meets in the summer and doo-wop blaring on the loud speakers, this drive-in serves up classic diner fare in a nostalgic atmosphere. – 7700 Décarie Boulevard

La Binerie Mont-Royal (since 1938)
This quaint little diner located in the Plateau Mont Royal neighbourhood serves classic rustic Québecois dishes that include pâté chinois, homemade creton—and the quintessential tourtière. – 367 Avenue du Mont-Royal East

Beauty’s Luncheonette (since 1942)
Beauty’s claims to be the first restaurant to serve breakfast in Montréal; the lineups that stretch around the corner on weekends can attest to its popularity. Get the “Beauty’s Special”, toasted Montréal bagel schmeared with cream cheese, packed with lox, onions and tomatoes.

Rôtisserie Chalet Bar-B-Q (since 1944)
This popular restaurant in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (NDG) is renowned for their juicy and tender rotisserie chicken cooked over wood charcoal in their custom-built brick ovens. Unequivocally the best tasting rotisserie chicken joint on the planet. – 5456 Sherbrooke Street West

Pizzeria Napoletana (since 1948)
Pizzeria Napoletana claims to be the first pizzeria in Montréal. Located in Little Italy, this pizzeria has been a local favourite not only for pizzas, but for pastas and its bring-your-own-wine policy. – 189 Dante Street

Other historic Montréal restaurants:
Lester’s Deli (1951)
Le Fameux (1957)
Caffé Italia (1956)
Mister Steer (1958)
La Banquise (1968)

Den Gyldene Freden (1722). The name means "the golden peace", and refers to the treaty with Russia that allowed Sweden to keep Finland after getting its ass kicked up and down the eastern coast.

The Dominion House Tavern, built before 1850 is the oldest continuously run tavern in the Windsor-Detroit border region and one of the oldest in Ontario. It has been a licensed tavern since 1869. It burnt down in 1879 and was rebuilt across the street that same year, it’s current location.
