Semi-related - I spoke to the guys cutting up the sidewalks at 2nd and Callowhill, and they said they're reprogramming the signals to make that stretch between 2nd and Delaware two-way.

Got my fingers crossed for Renaissance Plaza too, but also not holding my breath.
Cool! Two-way streets are the way to go. Also, you bought a theater? That's fascinating.

It's a long story - thankfully, my wife wrote most of it down. Short version is that we were hoping to buy a live/work kinda space in a few years, but during my research on those sorts of places, this spot came up and was too good a deal to pass up. It's insane, but it'll be worth it.

Speaking of research, we also dug through the history of the place we bought, which has deeds going back to the original Penn Charter. But I'm getting off topic.

There's a huge crane at One Water Street as of Friday.

Wow. Thanks for sharing the history of the theater, that is absolutely fascinating. That's the kind of amazingly in-depth historical reporting I usually see on http://hiddencityphila.org/. It's amazing what history you can actually find through research.

Here are some pics of the crane I took from Camden (including a pic with 2 birds that I think may have been cranes lol):

Not shots! The first few look like they're from where the Camden Night Gardens event will be on Friday. You're not working for them, are you?

I'm not affiliated with them but was on the riverbank behind that property. There's a public walkway just north of there that overlooks the river, and I climbed down from there and along the riverbank, tracking back to the bridge.

Spectacular views - and I did a double take upon seeing the One Water St crane, forgetting how far along that project was, and thinking for a split second that a new antenna had been installed.
