I just saw they are including a D-Condo as part of the Dream Lottery 4Kids - but the development is being done by the D-Condo Real Estate Group? What happened to Sandhu?

http://dreamlottery4kids.ca/luxurious-condo/

Regardless, not sure how the heck they plan on pulling that off?

I was by there yesterday and I think I got a quote from the owner next door. "It's almost above ground level".

Ya, I've walked by a few times recently - there are actually still a few people there doing work.

A GC with 3 people and no contract is far from what this building needs to progress.

I was curious so I walked by on my way to grab lunch, and I literally spotted 3 guys doing something, no heavy machinery or cranes on site. It does literally look like the building is above grade, just barely, thanks to some pieces of rebar jutting out.

They're completing the foundation but it appears like it will not rise beyond that point?

Cranes are supposedly going up this weekend. There's a notice on the door of the Bessborough from Sandhu Developments saying they'll be installed over the 11-16th.

The letter is signed "390 Assiniboine Avenue Inc." - new company yet again?

Not the best weekend to haul in large equipment as the Broadway will be shut down Friday 5:30 PM - Sunday 5:00 PM.

The two cranes will be installed within the next 5 days.

^ Thanks for this confirmation, the last several months of comments have been quite grim with this project ever moving past the foundation phase.

I believe it is back to Verne Reimer.

How will they operate two tower cranes with the three workers who seem to be building this entire place?

I was surprised to see the tower crane up on the site... for some reason I was expecting that they'd go with a crawler crane for now just to give the impression that something is happening, but with the tower crane it looks pretty legit.

Nothing like quoting myself, but I was wrong here.
