First Building in New York’s Hudson Yards Structurally Tops Out
New York City, United States – 07 October 2015

Quote:
In the first of many height-related milestones at Hudson Yards, 10 Hudson Yards has officially structurally topped out. This means that the highest primary structural element has been put in place. However, more work needs to be accomplished before Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates’ 52-story commercial building reaches its full height of 268 meters, when it will be considered architecturally topped out.

The angular glass building will be home to major tenants like Coach, L'Oréal USA, software company SAP, and social media agency VaynerMedia. It could be ready for occupancy as soon as 2016.
CTBUH says 10 HY is 878ft/268m instead of 895ft/273m.

Yeah is this a height reduction on this tower, some towers say they are a certain height then decline in height, perhaps NYguy can explain this better.

It seems like the heights of the Hudson Yards towers are in constant state of flux.

There's no height reduction on this tower. The building permits have been the exact same from the beginning.

It could just be a minor error. CTBUH sometimes has very small marginal errors. For some Miami towers for example, they are off by an extra floor or 10 ft, but its no big deal. The highest floor was reached for 10 Hudson; there's still that slight extension or crown which is about 100'.

Edit:

I came upon this. Looks like a must for any NYC fan. They need to re update it with all the new supertalls. They have One57 at least. A scale model of Manhatten 3d puzzle would be awesome.

Mapping the Rise of New York City's 20+ Supertall Towers: http://ny.curbed.com/archives/2015/1...all_towers.php

Normally I'm not impressed with the intellectual level of analysis (if one can even call that) on Curbed, but the lists are pretty good. This including a map and renderings of 22 super talls.

One possible hypothetical being 666 5th Avenue at 1400 ft. It may be. One project to keep an eye on.

Edit: Hunsers right. They can't count. Definitely not 22. But hell, give them a cookie for trying.

Plus the one that's on hold probably won't be for much longer...

Silverstein's 520W41st is most likely for sale, so we'll know more when there are news about a new developer chiming in.

On a more positive note: new renderings for 145 East 60th St have surfaced, likely a supertall:

The tall tower between 432 PA and Verre is 666 5th Ave, 1,400'.

There's the possibly for a tower ranging 700+ feet in DoBro.

205 Montage. The seller is assembling a large parcel for it in hopes of selling it to a prominent developer.

^^^^

Follow up to that statement. This could become Brooklyns tallest if it becomes reality. Passing 388 Bridge. Although not for long if the potential super tall by SHoP happens.
