Wait, is this supposed to be a brand new building or just a makeover of an existing one? Or am I thinking of another similar existing building in Fremont?

I'm liking all of these projects, especially the variety of size/density - nice work, Seattle. Miss being in you.

Not much housing goes up right ON Aurora Avenue. Maybe it shouldn't be wierd then that is has surface parking. I also wonder if the three parking spaces are for the warehouse and office use, not the 27 housing units.

$4.6M Yesler Park will bring active and quiet spaces to a growing neighborhood

By LYNN PORTER
Journal Staff Reporter

The city of Seattle plans to start construction in late March on the 1.7-acre Yesler Park at Yesler Way and Broadway on First Hill.

It is evaluating five bids it received this week from contractors for the park, which is slated to open in summer of 2018.

The park will overlook Puget Sound and downtown Seattle, with a fountain play area, small soccer spot, large open field, playground, restroom, public plaza and a grand pedestrian spine stepping down the middle of the sloping site to South Washington Street.

To take advantage of the site’s unique 25-foot grade, the playground will have a slope for people to climb or slide down.
