Having lived in Ohio for several years and having spent several days at Cedar Pointe, I am so happy to see Lagoon FINALLY get a custom coaster, built on site rather than just assembling a pre-made coaster.

With the state a regional populations growing I would love to see Lagoon add a new custom coaster every 2-3 years. Currently Lagoon doesn't have the coasters to attract visitors from neighboring states, but with Cannibal and if they continued on this track, they could easily do just that. Which could very easily justify the expense of the rides.

Just drove past lagoon. The tower is big. You could see were the roller coaster train/car will exit the structure. It's not as imposing as I thought it would be. Maybe because there was other tall structures.

Really?

Cause I drive by it everyday and think it's probably the shittiest looking structure I've ever seen in my life...

It's a 20-Story tower covered in brown sheet metal...

Did I see all that right? An elevator lifts the track instead of a lift hill? (That would explain the enclosed tower...) 116 degree drop - the steepest in the USA? And a new type of inversion that Lagoon gets to name?

That's a lot of stuff for a home-built Lagoon coaster. Count me impressed.

Lagoon's facebook page has some pretty good shots. I think it is going to be awesome.

Given the weather right now, I'd say the Inversion Inversion is a good pick.

I'm sure that ride will be great for the thrill-seekers, but I'll stick with Rattlesnake Rapids.

That's a cool aerial view of the ride! It is coming along well and it definitely towers over the rest of the park. The style of the elevator tower isn't my favorite but I'm sure it will tie into the theme they're going for. Thanks for posting the vid.
