The developers of the proposed supertall condominium at 45 Broad Street are projecting a sellout of $624.4 million, according to an offering memorandum for construction financing obtained by The Real Deal.

Robert Gladstone’s Madison Equities is partnering with Gemdale Properties and Investment, Impresa Pizzarotti & CSpA and AMS Acquisitions on the Financial District project. Great article by YIMBY on 2WTC:

At the end of the day, Foster’s design was custom-tailored to the memorial, the surrounding neighborhood, and the New York City skyline; BIG’s was created specifically for a corporation.

I like both versions, but yeah the Foster one is clearly better for the site IMO. So... build the BIG one somewhere else?

BIG's design would fit the Hudson Yards, or even better Times Square.

Yes, 50 Hudson Yards might be a good place for BIG tower. Fox could move on the 50 Hudson site. Imagine BIG tower behind 30 Hudson Yards (North Tower).

BIG tower is better than the Foster tower, and it's not really an issue, anyways. Silverstein says corporations want the BIG tower.

I'll be away for a couple of weeks (vacation, seminars and other stuff...). Feel free to post any updates re: NY supertalls/skyscrapers. Chris, you're the man! Since my gf and I are planning to be offline for the time being, I won't get any notifications. It's her idea/experiment, let's see if I can turn off my phone for good. Detox here I come.

I wish you all a nice and warm summer!

Cya soon,

But please do not post anything not directly related to potential SUPERTALLS in New York, or it will have to be cleaned up (deleted).

Some new renderings/models for 125 Greenwich.

Based on this, it looks like this will be a near super tall. Looks like 960 ft or so.

Towering Town: NYC’s Tallest Buildings

BY LAURA VECSEY
AUGUST 10, 2016

Quote:

Nowhere to go but up: That’s long been the motto in New York, the city that never sleeps, the city that promises people if you can make it
here you can make it anywhere. Big talk and hyperbole are part of the Big Apple deal. Never has it been more demonstrably true then it is
now, as a blistering spate of super-tall skyscrapers are being built and redefining the New York City skyline....

That image shows 53W53, but does not show One Vanderbilt and the Nordstrom Tower is actually taller than that.
