I look at those last shots and am positively giddy that there are two parcels of exposed or near exposed bedrock--one ridiculously thin and the other absoultely mammoth--already set to take this tower's new title away like candy from a NIMBY.

See my new diagram of NYC Supertalls:
Towers like 111 W. 57th and 30 Hudson Yards should be in there.

That's the thing about watching this one rise. We know towers just as tall or taller will follow on its heels. Doesn't make it less exciting to watch, but we know it's dominance is for a short while.

Alright, now that it's almost topped out and soon completed, it's time to find a suitable name for this newborn supertall, no?

I don't imagine people naming it "four thirty two park avenue" for ever!

Drake Tower for sure. Just like 111 57th should be Steinway Tower.

Why not? What name would it use besides the address?

Park Avenue addresses are extremely sought after, so much so that this building (which technically isn't even on Park) got approval to use this address.

It would be very foolish for a developer to give this building a name, instead of using the street address.

That's probably what people will call it. Everyone will know what it's referring to, anyway.

This tower looks nice from the air. I watched it at night coming back from Orlando. Luckily I had a good seat. The city in general looks insane at night.

Its always nice landing at Newark and seeing WTC1 too.

Incredible shots! I saw it on the nightly news today, not sure which channel it was because I was at a restaurant looking far away. Either CBS or ABC showed a picture of the NYC skyline from far away and 432 Park was blatantly obvious. It looked like it will soon overtake the Empire State Building as the undisputed height champion of Midtown.
