More condos.
Very good news.
No idea what the "Old City Hall" building is. I've been here for 11 years, and have always known City Hall to be in the tower at 15 Market Square. So yeah... no idea where the "Old" one is.

Care to provide an actual civic for the building you are referring to?

Unless Whaler is confusing Old City Hall with the Old Post Office (The building mentioned earlier as being redeveloped into condos), Old City Hall is 116 Prince William

This is simply a rumor I heard so take it as that, but I heard that Britt's who is next door will be expanding into that building.

I just have to comment, what an absolutely beautiful building. We are so lucky in SJ to have these amazing buildings.

Yikes! We did dodge a nasty looking waterfront, especially in the areas of where the Hilton and the condos are now. I wonder if people thought this looked good 40 years ago?

Does anyone have any pictures of the newly done Prince William Street? Heard that project has finished up for the most part. Would be great to see the contrast to what it once was...

I was there today and most of the utility poles are still standing - they are supposed to be removed. Brick work is done and trees are planted. It's paved, but thinking there might be a top coat yet to come

Glad Old Post Office and Old City Hall sold and will be condos. Now we just need the Palatine building and Bank of NB to sell.

We didn't get nothing. Instead of the picture above. We ended up with Market Square/ Saint John Trade & Convention Centre, The Hilton, York Point, Robertsons Wharf, Harbourside Tower, the Boardwalk/Harbour Passage, Canada Games Aquatic Centre, the Inside Connection Pedway system, and the Mercantile Centre.

If those services don't appease you.... I don't think anything will.....

No need to worry about the Palatine -- the new luxury apartments on the top two floors are just hitting the market: https://www.facebook.com/ThePalatine...age_fan_invite

Port City Royal opened for lunch time (11am-2pm) this past week on Grannan Lane. Seems they are keeping limited lunchtime hours for the next while as a sort of "soft-opening" before expanding with their dinner hours.

I've spent the last few afternoons / evenings uptown and was pleased to see that most of the shops and restaurants appeared to be quite busy!

Really enjoying paying less at the pumps lately, $0.959 per litre today. I was in Calais a few days ago and paid $0.66 per litre plus exchange, that was nice I do wish that we had a Costco gas bar which would drive prices down a bit more. Maybe in the future, one never knows.

I paid $1.02 for a liter in Fort McMurray late last week. We here in SJ think we have it tough?

Try Fort Mac, where it's consistently 15-20 cents a liter more than in Edmonton.

FYI the Reversing Fall's Restaurant is packing up on Dec 31st when their lease with the city is up.

They're moving down the street to the newly renovated Boaz building.

I wonder if the city has any plans for the vacant building?

If anyone is honestly wondering what buildings are going up where I would suggest leafing through City Council agendas and minutes. Generally you can find renders and site plans for most projects in the city prior to them happening.
