Sorry for not getting back with you guys... I'm about 75% at this point, depending on some variables at play. Man I hope to make it! My camera(s) are already waiting in eager anticipation.

I really want to meet Kevin Mopac and 427. You three take the best pictures of Austin.

So far Saturday is looking good for the meet. It'll be cloudy, and 57F with a 20 percent chance of rain. But that isn't a very good chance for rain so it should be good.

I'm pumped about it, I look forward to meeting everyone. I've already met 427MM and Mopacs before, but I'd love to meet everyone else as well.

We had a great time. There were five of us who turned up for the meet. I don’t mean to be terse, I am simply too tired to detail the trip thoroughly. I’m sure one of the others will take care of this task.

I had a great time. I'm glad I went, I enjoyed meeting everyone.

We were also a bit star struck this afternoon. For those of you who didn't show up, you missed out a bit.

We went into the Bess Bistro Restaurant at 500 West 6th Street, about 3 blocks east of Huts Hamburgers. We're all standing there in the entrance, I'm at the back nearest to the door. Myself, Mopacs and JDawgboy have our cameras with us. About 4 people come in the door and a women puts her hand on my arm and says: "There will be no photography, thank you." So I'm thinking, "ok, that's a bit strange, but whatever." Maybe she was the manager or whatever and didn't want camera flashes going off in this nice restaurant. So I give a look to reassure her that I got the message and would respect her wishes. And it was none other than Sandra Bullock!

Had a great time too. And yes, Kevin is right, we had a chance enounter with our semi-local celebrity Sandra Bullock. A bit of an unexpected surprrise... and Kevin summed up the moment just right. I've got tons of photos on the way to chronicle the tour, so stay tuned. Great meeting you again Greg, JDawg, Kevin and Mike.

We also found out that Altavida will be 416 feet tall with 37 floors. The previous floor count we had heard from the media was 36. But the guy at the construction site told us it would have 37 floors above ground. Fantastic. Not to mention that means Altavida would be only 99 feet shorter than Frost Bank Tower. So Altavida will rise to just below the Frost Bank logo on the tower. That means that for atleast a short time Altavida will be our 3rd tallest behind 360 Condominiums and Frost Bank Tower.

Not really, she and her friends pretty much hurried away as we were standing there with cameras. We ended up eating somewhere else, too.

Just wanted to say it was great meeting Kevin, Greg, Mopacs and JDawgboy. It's nice to be able to match a face with some of the user ID's on here. My favorite part of the day was going over to the Goodwill site and going to the top floor of the not-quite-finished parking garage. Awesome views of downtown from there. I can't wait to see everyone else's pics. Today was a real learning experience for me. Besides learning more about skyscrapers, and construction, I learned just how out of shape I am but it was worth every sore muscle. I'm really looking forward to the next forum meet.

I heard that Bess was owned by Sandra Bullock. Was she doing some hands-on managing? How cool!
