Winthrop is right by the airport. The planes fly so low it appears they could almost take your head off, and the area is LOUD LOUD LOUD! It's beautiful, but I wouldn't want a plane flying right over my house every 45 seconds. Also, it is not the most accessible area in the city. I'm pretty sure it is shaped similar to a peninsula, with only 1 way in and out. The more desirable areas of the shore around Boston are at least 10-15 miles further, either north or south.
