absolutely awesome...especially the night pic and how you captured the firework exploding in the background...

i've always wanted to go to Detroit

For god's sake why?
Ugh. I'll have to drive through Detroit on my way to work this morning. It's hard to imagine a more depressing place to be, and I think that only Seattle is grayer.

scribeman, maybe you need some professional help if driving through any city depresses you. It seems you live a sorry and sad life...

No, I think it's the abandoned buildings, the empty shell of a city that remains, the homeless, or possibly the fact that there is no gradient to that "city", for great want of a better word, that is attractive. Ugh. The other day it was so foggy everything was coated in gloom; it's like the sun never shines here.
I seriously cannot wait to leave Michigan and never, ever return. If I had known then what I know now, I would have chosen a real state for college.

Ellaborate on "real". Hollywood? Sounds like you're getting your ass kicked here in Michigan. It'll do that to the weaklings. Like a sour taste in its mouth, it will be happy to spit you out back where you came from.

And just so you're aware, asking TNTD to realize the reality of Detroit is like telling God all he needs to know about Heaven.
