When it's windy they let them swing free like a flag so they are always pointing parallel to the wind.

Thanks for the clarity!
I'm guessing, they still have all of that dirt to remove!?

Thanks to the incredible fall weather the Regina stadium construction is moving along at a feverish pitch.

Trivia here --- again: The tallest crane's hook height (when stowed) is 240'. So, the all-out height of that crane would be about 270'. That means the others are sure up there as well.

How many floors would 270' translate into , it's to bad they never had the camera facing towards down town

Typically, 27-28 floors for a hotel/condo tower; 21-22 for office.

Stadium Site

Regina’s skyline has had a significant change in October with the addition of the third and fourth tower cranes at the Regina Revitalization Initiative – Stadium Project construction site. The stadium project is the first PCL commercial project in Regina to have four tower cranes operating at one time.

The four cranes are 61, 66, 73 and 87 metres high and will be used until the fall of 2015.

To date approximately 160,000 cubic metres of soil has been removed from the site with the excavation on the west side at approximately 11 metres below grade.

In total 815 piles have been installed and 7,600 cubic metres of concrete poured. The number of people working on the site has increased to an average of 115 per day. More than 70,000 hours have been put into the on-site construction since June.

“The progress at the site is very impressive. Every time I’ve driven by it is always filled with a lot of activity. It has been fun to see the first phase of the Regina Revitalization Initiative literally grow up out of the ground,” said Mayor Michael Fougere.

Crane heights...
For those that want to know what the crane heights are in Imperial measurements, they are:
61 m = 200 feet
66 m = 217 feet
73 m = 240 feet
87 m = 285 feet
I have rounded the figures to the nearest foot.

That is awesome!!! Even the 'short' crane is up there! It looks impressive from all directions ---- especially when driving eastbound on Sask Dr. from Lewvan!

To put it into perspective, City Hall is 207'.

I was just looking at the webcam. Did they pour a concrete floor prior to building the second story? I would assume they did, but you cannot tell from the webcam.

I don't think so. Perhaps they will wait and do it indoors during winter

Thanks.
Do you know if there are building plans online? I know that there were plans available for the earlier concept that was to be located at the CPR yards on Dewdney.
