Nice pics, Evergrey. I'm also wondering where that park is with the waterfalls... Wayne Nat. Forest? I've actually stopped in Pomeroy before... interesting little town... a buddy and I drove state highway 7 and smoked a number of joints from Conneaut down to Gallipolis and then into WV... nice drive along the Ohio. Never been to Shawnee... looks creepy.

appalachian towns have some of the best streetscapes in america...i like seeing consecutive rows of uninterupted historic storefronts.

Those are a couple of interesting little places that I've never laid eyes on. How far away from each other are they?

Hocking Hills, which is the most westward Appalachian natural park in the northern part of the country.

Shawnee looks like a ghosttown. It would make a good movie set

It is the ghost town of the state.

How far away from each other are they?

Pomeroy to Shawnee takes about an hour; Hocking Hills to Shawnee take about a half hour.

That park with the waterfall is beautiful.

Pomeroy looks decent, but Shawnee looks hopeless. And the guy checking out Frigidaires looks like trouble to me.

Thanks Eg.

Shawnee looks atrocious, but interesting. Great photos. I like seeing 'forgotten' places.

Hocking Hills is probably my favorite state park in Ohio.

I think I would be afraid to park under something like this, that looks like it could collapse at any time.
