Some of these shots from Place Ville Marie are a bit affected by the glass.

This is more how the buildings really look from Mt Royal, much closer than in the typical tourist shot.

Nice pictures! I don't remember any place halfway up the mountain with a view of Downtown.

Take the stairs up from the head of Peel, it's not far from the top but it is because the trails wind around.

Yes, it's had one for years. For a long time it was a trashy nightclub called Altitude 737 but now it's a branch of the upscale restaurant chain Les Enfants Terribles.

The observation deck the first photos in this thread were taken from has permanently closed, though.
