hkskyline's 2014 in ONOMICHI, Japan

Onomichi is a town of many temples. There is a tourist information centre at the train station with friendly staff who can provide you with an English map to get going. Turn left upon exiting the station, follow the tracks and you will notice signs to head uphill.

As you walk along the narrow paths, you will find absolute serenity. There is barely anyone in sight.

Very cool photos. The building codes of small town America would never allow for the urban jumble that we see above. I never saw myself as one who cared about small towns, but when I see it look like this, it makes me wanna go there.

いい写真ですね。日本の町は車がなくても、生活を出来るに気がつく。大抵、私はあまり町と村にきょうみがないけど、オノミチらしい町に観ると、行きたいよ:D

I agree with mthq Japanese small towns seem so fascinating and quirky they really take the time there to design cool things to make the experience more enriching. America seems so boring by comparison.
