Nice pictures. Did you happen to take a picture of anywhere in Delaware, since the clouds broke over Baltimore?

Remarkably so, yes. I guess Vegas' strip must have that effect from up there.

The sulfurous glow of the streetlights in all three cities may change before long. NYC is replacing its sodium vapor lights with LED, which makes for very white light. NYC led the way from mercury vapor street lighting, which also cast a white light, to sodium vapor in the 1970s. It saved on energy costs and cast more light. Used to be NYC stood out in a night flight because everything else was white. Now everyone uses the sulfurous light but LED will bring us back to white again after all these years.

By the eye it was even clearer....and Time Square was soooo bright. Regards to Delaware , I think I was trying to figure out our flight path....after Philly we went a little NW...and I was like oh FK...but grateful to get Philly, then we did a sharp right and there was Jersey....and a little sharper turn east and there was NYC!

Finally....everything lined up on one of my flights.

I've been noticing San Diego slowly switching over to LED. SD neighborhoods arent well lit to begin with. I know LA is rapidly changing to the white LEDs too.
