Looks like it's gonna be about 3-4 stories shorter than the BNC tower

Which confirms its final height of 120m.

I always loved how the handsome office building with the square windows bookended the corridor and this building isn't quite as nice so that's a little sad, but decent project overall.

Wow. You the first person I hear talk positively about that building. Everyone is happy that this tower is getting hidden by the Altoria!

I have to agree. Altoria doesn't hide that building quite enough.

This could be my favourite street in Montreal. Quality buildings and good density its entire length.

I never minded the 1980s office tower either, although it is a bit bland and lacks height.

Really?? I'm definitely surprised! It's one of my favourite office buildings in Montreal.

Thanks!

And must agree with martinmtl, my only grievance with Altoria is that it doesn't go all the way at hiding that god-awful concrete office building with the faux-mansard roof. Bleh. And to think that a sleek art deco tower once stood there.

Man, that building is straight ugly. Boring, bland, I actually hate it lol. It is one of the three buildings Downtown which I despise, along with 440 René-Lévesque and the old Tour Centre-ville (which I hope gets demolished soon as planned).

The roof line is definitely ugly and doesn't really suit the rest of the building. But fortunately it doesn't seem to be that conspicuous from the ground.
