Interesting two tone to the glass in this shot. The indentations cause the glass to give off an entirely different deeper blue color in this light. It is almost the reverse of the original images we saw where we thought they were using two different colors of glass.

The Hannah's Bretzel website mentions there'll be a Hannah's Bretzel here in Spring 2017. I guess that's the casual dining venue mentioned on the website.

There will be three retail tenant spaces in this project. One is nestled under the raised park and faces east onto the Randolph Street entrance plaza. This one I believe has been envisioned as a convenience store. The second is contained in the south portion of the core and spills out into an egg shaped glass pavilion hugging the SE corner of the core. My guess is that this will be Hanna's Bretzel, but they could have also gone for the other retail space. The third is a restaurant at river level under the east plaza/river walk.

150 N Riverside Plaza

Very excited to see this building finish up.

This building projects structural strength as you walk SW along Wacker Drive as it follows the curve of the river.

I'm also looking forward to how the plaza will as you approach the building on Randolph street.

Walking East on Lake, the glass lobby looks impressive. However, I wonder how it would have looked if it was inset slightly from the curtain wall above. My thought is a slight inset would have made it feel tightly fitted as opposed to a 'moo-moo' that hangs straight down.

Also, can't wait to see how the light up the base along the river.

This thing looks teleported from 1990.

Maybe 80's would have been more accurate. Look at anything built in Dallas during the oil boom.

I responded to this but I think it got deleted. I guess we aren't allowed to post pictures that aren't of the project. I'll just link some pics if you're interested.

I'm not talking about the structure or cantilever. I'm talking about the design aesthetic. This building is very mid/late 80s - think KPF in the 80s. It's the ethos / style.

^I'm still not seeing it either. Glass towers in the 1980s were typified by highly reflective mirrored glass in bold colors such as blue, green, or black, emphasized horizontals or no emphasis in either direction (such as your second picture), and mostly flat facades, relying mostly on the particular shapes of the buildings. Think 300 S Riverside.

This building on the other hand, has light blue gray glass with comparatively lower reflectance, strong emphasis on verticals, vertical mullion fins, and a glass fin wall, all of which are distinctly of the 21st century. The only thing sort of evocative of the 80s are the sloped underside of the cantilevers and emphasized mechanical louvers, which do feel a little like the colonnade on the E and W sides of the Thomson Center.
