I am pretty sure there are no plans posted. In fact they are still designing as they build. I have heard the Riders' areas are all designed and they are fantastic. They will love having everything in one place.

So glad to see the amazingly quick progression of this development. Seriously! The weather has been incredible for the prairies these past few months (save for Calgary's devastating summer blizzard ), so that has been really awesome to see that it has actually helped bring this project ahead of schedule. Very much looking forward to seeing the structure come together!

They appear to be placing the concrete for parts of the first floor on the east side today. It will be the first substantial concrete above ground (other than the columns holding it up)

That's a big step forward for this project to see the slabs starting.

Not exactly stadium related but I took a drive out to the stadium sight to check progress this Sunday am and noticed that the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) building on the armoury grounds right beside the stadium - the ugly white building at the southern most part of the armoury grounds - has finally been demoed. It is just a ground level mass of broken, crumpled lumber now.

No longer just a massive hole in the ground, it's already well above grade.

They did a huge slab pour last night - they were still going after 9pm the last time I checked the webcam.

The building immediately south of the Armouries is the Officers' Mess. It may not look like much on the outside; however, the inside is abjectly amazing! If that was the "ugly little white building" that was torn down, then I'd be very disappointed about that.

It's gone. I loved the inside but it was structurally beyond repair and nobody is willing to fund a replacement.

On the upside, DND has poured hundreds of thousands into renovations/maintenance of the Armouries over the past couple of years.

Also on the plus side, that area has really been cleaned up as a result, and there is now a great view of the south end of the Armouries from what will be the main entrance of the stadium. The Armouries really are a lovely historic building. It will contrast nicely with the space age stadium design.

Regina stadium builders adjust work for cold, strong winds
Cranes are shut down when winds reach 72 kilometers an hour

People on the prairies are hardy folk but spare a thought in these windy, snowy, cold conditions for those working outside.

While you're at it, think about the workers high in the sky in the cranes over the stadium build. Four cranes operate there, one of which is about the height of a 33-storey building.

To put it into perspective, imagine working on the roof of the Delta in downtown Regina.

"When you reach winds up to about 72 kilometers an hour, then they have to shut down or when the temperatures get below minus 25" said Mike Zurowsky, the design build manager with the stadium project.

Uh-oh, the winds. The winds were the "cause" for all the delays on the Winnipeg stadium build. Watch out!

Cranes can topple in strong winds. (Not to mention securing loads.)
