Here's an oldie but a goodie.

I like it because it shows the full 8 mile extent of the northside lakefront skyline.

Boise doesn't have much of a skyline, but the elevation changes provide some good views from distance.

here's a shot from about 6.5 miles east of downtown:

if you turn around, you'd see the Boise River canyon:

It hasn't really had much of one until the last decade or so, so it's understandable you'd forget about it.

I think that it's kind of cool.

Admittedly, I have no understanding of geography in Madrid, so maybe it's awkwardly situated, or something like that.

Love it! Great finds. I wish i had a good enough camera to get clear shots of LA from the tops of our mountains. Even Downtown LA and its 1000 foot buildings look like specs when youre 10,000 feet up and 50 miles away

Downtown LA from the 134 freeway in Glendale is pretty epic.

I know LA's skyline underwhelms some but I've always loved it. I actually like it better than *gasp* New York's. Maybe it's just the fact it stands out and New York is a wall of just about everything.

Hard, Hard disagree. It's not even close.

However I do like LA's skyline and love the new ones going up.

That vacant site on the above photo is an upcoming major residential project.

The photo illustrates the region's topography, which is pretty dramatic for Eastern U.S. standards. I still don't get why people think the NY region is flat.
