taken from the 38th floor of 55 Nassau St N (Wpg's tallest residential building)

I have to say that I am loving the view that TSN has been using for Bomber games. I usually go to the games myself, but I was at school last night so I had to PVR it. The view from the stadium is pretty much on par with the old one. It has a better vantage point in my opinion, especially with the location of the new towers. Heritage and D-Condo's will be front and centre from this view.

Some really nice shots in this thread.

Chris, awesome shot too! You should do one in the future skyline thread with the new towers going up

Where has TSN been taking that shot from?

I believe that is directly from the stadium. It lines up from the views that I have seen from within it anyways.

I thank you for the photo credit. I am Victor Jarman. I found this page by entering my name into Google.I also think everyone else for the compliments.

This picture was taken from the roof of one of the apartment buildings at Stradbrook and Donald. I have more pictures that I took from various elevated locations in Winnipeg and some in Vancouver that I can post at some point.

Cyrodill no need for a helo to get a good pic - any light aircraft is fine. Harv's Air (the old Winnipeg Flying Club) has a Cessna 150 Aerobat with jettison-able doors that can be removed before takeoff. Anyone with a licence can rent it.

I agree River, you can get many great pics from many small fixed wing aircraft.

I just have to clarify my clarification to be clear..
"Anybody here fly?........Clarify:A Helicopter?"

Anybody here fly, than I thought, I don't mean get high, but anyone one actually fly a chopper? I have not had the chance to even be a passenger on one.

Kind of getting off topic, but I was in a helicopter on one occasion when I worked for Hydro in Gillam. It was pretty cool to go out over the wilderness. No people for basically a thousand miles around. Hovering over a heard of moose and things like that. Pretty incredible experience.

One downer was the helicopter a pilot I was in crashed and burned 10 days later after the rotor struck a rock face while trying to land. Pretty tragic.

Edit: Found this article about it. I guess it struck the tower first.

The bottom picture is over 30 years old. The red building with the white stripe near the roof is the old Prince Edward Hotel, torn down in 1980. A crying shame when she was knocked down.

Damn, that's a shame. I found it difficult to find many quality shots of Brandon from my quick searches. Do you have any idea with more recent sources or better images? As Man's 2nd largest urban center it's a shame to leave it out of so many threads?

Greetings. My old username was Lenin, but I'm having difficulties with my account right now so I created a [temporary?] new one. Here's some photos I shot this autumn but haven't been able to post until now:
