Base Cladding, the question mark is just there cause I havent had any pictures at all for that section in almost a month, so its outdated. The other 3 sides are updated and to date!

I'm in NYC for Spring Break and ventured down to Lower Manhattan today. It was snowy/misty today so I didn't bring my camera; I'm hoping to get out with it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

Anyways, a few pictures of 1WTC from my cell phone and/or iPad:

But with final last segments and removing that platforms will be a nice spire, surely better than radome that is beatiful in renderings and ugly from live

You have zero evidence that the radome would have been ugly.

The glass fins on the base - will they ever be opened? If so, when and how? Would it be uniform or would each panel be different from the next?

I highly doubt it would look like a tarnished soccer ball. Even then it still looks better than that soviet russia radio tower right now....
This isn't even the same type of cladding. looks cloth like.

I reckon that once the temporary man-platforms (the horrible rings) are removed, the spire will look great, close up or far away, and I think the vertical stripes near the top are somehow referencing the original towers, in a very subtle way.
I can't wait for WTC 2 to stand proudly alongside.

They will ALL be opened up and will be uniform with one another. They will make it seem like the base is shimmering.
