Chicago needs something architectually challenging that would gather world-wide engineers and alter the skyline.

I was thrilled when I saw the crown of this tower take its shape -- and then I saw the base, and now I'm totally ecstatic. The slight appearance of cantilever gives it a levity, a glass box that appears much less heavy because of the slender base. I hope it becomes the new standard.

Who hands out building of the year awards for skyscrapers - CTBUH? This should be the 2013 winner.
