Because a lot of people are going to tell their boss that his kid sucks...

True, not a QB makes a huge difference. It still smells - the kid was only good enough for us or Wyoming? I'd like CU too.

I don't know who you've been watching for the last several years, but how is CU top level? I know I know, PAC-12, but come on, CU stinks, can't possibly hurt the team any.

And as PLANSIT said, they vetted the guy out pretty well, and its just a DB position.

He's not, that's why he was looking at CU or Wyoming.

He's tied for fifth in class rankings (5.5). He's ranked 10th in the state regardless of position.

And we all know that the recruiting services like Rivals are only privy to part of the information. Many times kids have more offers than reported and many times kids don't get more offers (that they would have) if a school thinks they are solid with their verbal. Not saying this is the case, but it's true.

Can't emphasize enough that it's a CB position.

Some additional insight/concerns/video at AllBuffs.

I will never accept that our recruiting pool is the same as Wyoming's. Never.

Then you should probably study up on the actual recruiting process and state of the program regarding recruiting. This is the reality right now.

But it's also important to understand that while 4 and 5 star guys typically become the best players, it's possible to develop talent of guys that aren't as highly recruited. Happens all the time. Many of last year's freshman playmakers/difference makers were 2 stars.

Playmakers. A 4-8 team does not have difference-makers, unless we're talking about making a difference in the negative sense.

Travis Wilson has been medically cleared to play in 2014. Our biggest question mark was QB but if he's back this could really be a good team.

The Tribune stated non-contact drills only...

Here's hoping he'll play through the entire season.

Glad to see Travis is ok.

On another note, send prayers/good vibes/thoughts to Ute Moana Ofahengaue who is currently in critical condition with a head injury.

You're a classy BYU fan, Wren. Much appreciated.

Here's hoping Utah fans can reciprocate. Good luck for a successful Cougar season minus playing the Utes in 2014.

No. Just no. Here's to hoping your rival loses every damn game. On that note, here's to an 0-24 CSU & Nebraska season.

As much as I hate BYU, and beyond my own personal anti-religious based agenda against the LDS Church, we all somehow find mutual respect for our own college athletes and their well-being from suffering physical injury.

Go Colorado... You're bullshit game is that you can't win against CSU.

So you attack an article about BYU and Utah player's injuries.

Go troll elsewhere.

And your edits can't save you.

You do know there is a difference between wishing someone has a permanent injury and wishing a team loses every game, right? I can, and do, wish good health for all rival team players while wishing their team still loses every game.

You're making a faux controversy from false equivalencies.

It's time to start up the "Which Buff was arrested this week?" watch. This week's distinction goes to Jefferey Hall:

Assaulting a woman, resisting arrest and generally living up to the CU reputation. Great job!

CU is tied for 33rd in the all time Fulmer Cup standings, "honoring" college football programs with the worst criminal records.

Utah is 39th, Boise is 70th, CSU is 78th, BYU is 88th.

Arkansas is 1st, by a wide margin. SEC teams occupy the top 3, and 8 of the top 13.

The cleanest programs are Florida International, Memphis, and New Mexico State. The cleanest programs that matter are Stanford, Northwestern, Baylor, and Arizona State (there's a shocker).

Not surprising at all. I despise the special education conference.
