Asian food grocery stores

I am just curious to know where other people buy their Asian groceries.

I usually only buy Japanese food from Win Tai Market (Ogilvie Rd) and T&T.

The price of the 15lbs bag of rice (Nozomi Koshihikari) that I usually buy at Wintai has gone up in price twice in the last year. From 28.99 to 32.99 and now 36.99$
I usually get 2 bags at a time so it adds up.

That's why I'm curious to see where else I could go to buy Asian groceries in Ottawa to compare prices.

I haven't taken stalk of the prices, but there are three places I go to lately depending on what I'm looking for.

Seoul Mart, 22 Pretoria (Glebe). They sell Korean food items (and some household products). I like them. I feel like the prices aren't too high.

Arum Market, 512 Bank Street (Centretown, near the Queensway). They are a Korean grocery store but also sell Japanese food items, and various household products).

Kowloon Supermarket, 712 Somerset (Chinatown). I've only bought some produce and packaged goods.

I sometimes go to T&T, and have yet to visit Win Tai Market. Also, there used to be a Japanese grocer on Slater Kaedeya, but they closed in 2007. They didn't have too much and were quite pricey.

My girlfriends mother (vietnamese) goes to Saigon Meats & Vegetables and Phuoc Loi at Somerset and Booth, not sure if that is where she gets her rice though. She buys 80kg in January to last the year. That is apparently when rice is the 'best'.

Even most grocery stores now have an ethnic section with imported products with a decent selection, even Superstore and Walmart. They usually go on sale during Lunar New Year but usually it's the bag with the rooster and the price includes a lot of "8"s for luck.

Rice has also gone up in price overall, so a couple of dollars may be simply the cost of selling it.

I only shop at T&T... the main reason is it is clean.

Selection is better than place on Somerset...

Thanks for the feed back. Ill have to got check out the other places mentioned below since T&T doesn't sell the rice we usually buy at Wintai. If the rice is cheaper it be worth going and getting a few bags at a time. Wintai's location is better for me but the price hike on the rice lately is annoying.
