I realize they are a different but MHP was what, $400 psf in 2009 dollars? CMHR is what, a $trillion psf?
$150psf is relatively on the cheap side (but can be done), but there's not reason why a residential tower can't be built for $175 - $200psf. Can't really compare a MHP (state of the art, LEED bells & whistles, crown corp office building) or CMHR to a residential tower - but you know that...

I passed by on Assiniboine today and the City of Winnipeg parking lot on the east side of the building has a sign saying it will be permanently closed on April 4th. Let's hope that means we'll see more action shortly.

Heritage Landing Update

hey guys im currently working with crystal construction on a new daycare being built in the 17 wing army base and had an opportunity to ask one of the super's on site about the status of heritage landing. as it turns out the original plan was for them to begin work on the footing/piles in january when the river bank was frozen and safer to work on, however due to delays the new plan is to begin this work in early may. the attitude around crystal seems to be pretty confident they will have the site services in by then and ready to break ground.

Better question Chaddilac, with Assiniboine reduced to ONE LANEthanks to a bike lane, how are Heritage and more interestingly, Dubrovnik, going to even HAVE parking...?

From the previous mock ups and renderings it looked like there were going to be a few levels of above ground parking.

Did we ever get a final rendering? I thought someone had said the design has changed from the image we have on this thread.

Might have been a different project however..

Demolition is under way, I passed by at noon and a big chunk of the east side of the building was already gone.

Woo! Guess we're going to have two high-rise projects active in Downtown now.
