Controlled Dynamite blast are not cheap. I wonder if they had planned for all that bedrock. It's crazy!

Maybe the LDS Church is building one of their genealogical archive vaults in all the bedrock.

Underground parking, no doubt. Or it's the holiest of holies.

An Angel told the construction workers to dig until they uncovered golden coffee saucers.

Great viewpoint.

Can see the Museum Towers construction as well, and Dalian (off to the left - not in picture).

Top of the Tower - Three Logan Square, 5-7pm, happy hour, Wednesday's ... see it all, awesome views (if you can put up with bad music and kiddies getting hammered )

In that overhead shot I see what appears to be a six lane track diagonal from CBS. Does anyone know whose track that is? A school, I assume but which?

They have poured some of the foundation walls already. I think they have gotten as low as they will go below grade. they were hauling out more dirt when I walked by yesterday.

Your typical skyscraper geek. Risking life and limb while driving just for a shot of a crane. Wouldn't have it any other way.

This is going to look so much more massive than it is...sort of like FMC, because of it's position.

And the site is an entire city block? Impressive.

agreed, there is nothing of any substantial height nearby aside from the watermark. It will be great views for tenants when its done. This is going to very prominent when people are coming in from the north (like myself) on regional rail. Being 20-30ft above street level offers great views across north Philly and you can clearly see the cranes for the Dalian and soon 1601 and the 18th street project.
