Anadarko Towers

The Anadarko Towers are actually in a very nice suburb north of Houston. The Woodlands, Texas was built in a dense pine tree forest and preserves the forests in between the roads and the development. Currently having a population of 100,000 they started building a downtown "town center" in order to have a place for commercial development in 1993. The first Anadarko Tower, which is on the right, was built in the early 2000s. The second Anadarko tower, on the left, was built just a few years ago. They were built on The Woodlands Waterway, which is like the San Antonio Riverwalk. They stand at around 400 feet each. The one on the right is the taller one. They are the world headquarters of the Fortune 500 company Anadarko Petroleum.

Actually I think the tallest building between LA and SF (and possibly still the worlds tallest moving building) is the MST at Space Launch Complrx 6 at Vandenberg Air Force Base.

There's a big tall (The Endeavor Tower) in Seabrook near Houston that's surrounded by nothing but suburbia and marinas.

I got a new laptop and lost the ability to post pics because of my new driver, microsoft edge. I had no problems with internet explorer. Any Ideas how to fix this?

Anyway if someone could post Two Pierce Place in Itasca Il would be a stand alone.

Well that Endeavor tower is a residential skyscraper on a lake.

Devil's Advocate post: Redwood City is a pretty small city on the peninsula, along the bay, halfway between SF and SJ. Aesthetically it doesn't look too terrible and it's disconnected from NIMBY residential districts. I don't see the objection NIMBYs would pose here.

I'm surprised that Edge is having problems, but you can always try Chrome or Firefox...

Anyway, here's a streetview for the eyesore in Itasca:

It’s like Las Vegas... except replace fun with submission.

Austin has the Pinnacle Tower, which sits up on an enormous hill and still has the highest roof in the city.

It's still our fourth tallest suburban building.
