Interesting stuff, thanks! Seems a bit dated though... it says the Pacific Maritime Ecozone encompasses 2.5 million people. It's got to be over 3.5 million now - Metro Vancouver alone is 2.5 million.
According to
BC Stats 2016 estimates for regional districts in this ecozone, this zone would have over 3.75 million people now. Quite the extra strain on this region, though most of the population growth would be concentrated in the extreme south.
