Hahahaha (He better be nice to his co-workers. It wouldn't take much to push him over!)

You do have a great view of this project. You better hope you keep your job for another 20-25 years. (To keep us informed of the progress.)
Maybe by that time it will be above street level!

I just want to know when they plan to push the completion date back. It may not be able to open before late 2017 at this point.

Another disappointing eight days. Our prognostications about "it's about to really get going now" remind me how economists have successfully predicted all 27 of the last 6 recessions.

Except that unlike a recession, it's good if this gets deeper.

I'm wondering how much of the current slow pace of the digging is related to the need to ensure stabilization of the soil and foundations of the immediately adjoining tall buildings. There seems to be a lot of attention being paid to the northern and eastern perimeters of the dig. On the other hand, it could just be that they're dragging their feet on this some other (economic?) reason. But they are taking a lot of dirt away from the western half of the site now, so that's a good thing.

Wish blenfest would give us an update.

It's stressful speculating about what kind of a debacle this project might be becoming.

Trying not to be "negadelphian" and visualize the inverse of the towering, burnt-out One Meridian hulk next door:a perennial bottomless pit that replaced perfectly nice parking for Wendy's.

They are way down on the east side, probably 40-50 feet in the SE corner where the one lone excavator is located. Also, I saw several huge steel tubes on the site that I hadn't seen before. Not sure what they are for, but they could be to shore up the walls.

It ALWAYS comes back to Wendy's, doesn't it?

I don't get all the hand wringing here. So this project is way over budget and well behind schedule so they what? Just stop building? Makes no sense to me.

All those delays are cutting into the bottom line for sure, but do you know what really hurt their profit margins? If they spent millions of dollars to dig a hole and then just gave up. Something tells me this hole won't have a great ROI. Despite all their troubles they just have to keep going.

In most of the photos I see, there is only a few men on site. Is there a construction labor shortage here? Put more men on the job site. We should start a gofundme for this project...LOL.

Depends when the photos were taken. Everytime I've been by there's at least 20 men on site.

Perhaps this is some sort of Brewster's Millions scenario, in which case he wouldn't be able to talk about it.
