I also liked the weaving effect of the previous glass design, but I understand why they changed it. When mixed with the very large presence of it's Performing Arts Center, which shares a conjoined footprint, the two looked quite uncomfortable together. Hence the need to meld the two designs. I think with the unique top, (especially when backlit), and the suspended from the center, column free glass pedestal bottom, the tower portion will strike a very elegant statement on that corner.
